(230718) -- SAO TOME ISLAND, July 18, 2023 (Xinhua) -- A Chinese expert instructs a local farmer to plant peppers in Caldeiras Village of Sao Tome Island, Sao Tome and Principe, July 15, 2023. China and Sao Tome and Principe resumed diplomatic ties in December 2016. Shortly after, a team of four Chinese agricultural experts arrived at the launch of Chinese agricultural technical support project in the island nation, one of the least developed countries listed by the United Nations. In 2021, Caldeiras Village was designated the first demonstration village for agricultural poverty alleviation. Altogether 79 families in the village have received well-directed technical aids from China. (Xinhua/Han Xu)
Alguns produtores do sector familiar, que trabalham nas terras baixas de Chicumbane, no distrito de Limpopo, em Gaza, estão a receber treinamento em técnicas de cultivo de trigo e milho, no âmbito de um programa de transferência de tecnologias levada a cabo pela empresa chinesa Wanbao, que explora o Regadio de Baixo Limpopo para produção industrial de arroz.
